DI.DAY // Digital Tooltime and Networking | Part II

Auf unserem ersten DI.DAY in der Spedition haben wir kritische Positionen und Diskurse vorgestellt: warum es wichtig ist, uns unabhängig(er) von den Monopolstellungen der großen Tech-Player zu machen und warum wir uns an der bundesweiten Kampagne mit eigenen Veranstaltungen beteiligen.
Gemeinsam haben wir in einer anschließenden Runde über Alternativen, Fallstricke und Herausforderungen diskutiert und Themen, die wir mit in die nächsten Treffen nehmen.
Unser nächster DI.DAY im April wird wieder in der Spedition sein, dieses Mal nicht am 1. Sonntag im Monat, sondern eine Woche später am Sonntag, 12.4.2026, wieder um 16 Uhr.
Wir reden dieses Mal über Clouds und Möglichkeiten des Self-Hostings: Welche Alternativen gibt es zu Dropbox und Google Drive? Wie können wir Daten verwalten und teilen, mit ihnen arbeiten, gemeinsam in unseren Gruppen und Netzwerken?
Unser Ziel ist es, Alternativen auszuprobieren, die so einfach und konkret wie möglich sind und die wir privat, in unseren Netzwerken sowie für die Produktion von Kunst, Musik, Filmen und Fotos nutzen können.

At our first DI.DAY at the Spedition, we presented critical perspectives and discussions: why it’s important to become (more) independent from the monopolistic positions of the major tech players, and why we’re participating in the nationwide campaign with our own events.
Together, we discussed alternatives, pitfalls, and challenges in a follow-up session, and identified topics to bring to our next meetings.
Our next DI.DAY in April will again be at Spedition, this time not on the first Sunday of the month, but a week later on Sunday, April 12, 2026, again at 4 p.m.
This time, we’re talking about cloud services and the possibilities of self-hosting: what alternatives are there to Dropbox and Google Drive? How can we manage and share data, and work with it collaboratively within our groups and networks?
Our goal is to try out alternatives that are as simple and concrete as possible. which we can use privately, in our networks, and for the production of art, music, films and photos.
